Rocky’s has been a downtown Brevard institution since it began in 1995, but its roots date back even further, to 1941 specifically, as it spun out of Varner’s Drug Store which originally occupied its spot.
It’s a true step back in time, though. The lunch counter is vintage from 1941, and the food served harkens back to simpler times, serving fresh & simple meals like hot dogs, Angus beef burgers, fresh salads, and not-to-be-missed milkshakes. The old-school soda fountain mixes up favorites such as flavored cokes, root beer and coke floats as well.
And just like vintage Drug Stores, there’s even a candy corner offering up everything from jaw breakers, homemade fudge, rocky candy, and gummy bears, to name a few. Several years ago, D.D. Bullwinkel’s shared the space with them, so you might see shared signs, references, and website URL’s : )
